MYSTERY OF ISRAEL
Time is running out on us, and we're too sound asleep in deception to realize it!
Our peoples will continue only a few more years in comparative economic prosperity. This very prosperity is our fatal curse, because our people are setting their hearts on it, seeking ease and leisure, becoming soft and decadent and WEAK!
We're GOING THE WAY OF ANCIENT ROME, to a greater fall, because we're bigger and more prosperous, and have farther to fall!
Then, suddenly, before we realize it, we'll find ourselves in the throes of FAMINE, and uncontrollable epidemics of DISEASE. Along with the coming famine and disease epidemic will come an invasion of billions of crop-destroying bugs, insects, and locusts (grasshoppers) on a scale never before to devastate a land. You'll read of this in the first chapter of Joel.
And, knowing that such an unbelievable catastrophe is soon to strike, I HAVE TO WARN YOU! You can read what God says to me in Ezekiel 33:1-6.
Through His inspired prophets, the great God caused to be written, some 2,500 years ago, and preserved in writing to our time prophecies filling approximately a third of the whole Bible. In them, He named every city of consequence of that time on earth - and also every nation! And He foretold precisely what would, through the years, happen to every city and every nation! In every instance the prophecies came to pass!
A staggering turn in world events is due to erupt in the next few years. It will involve violently the United States, Britain, Western Europe, the Middle East. It's already rather late for the free world to come awake to the real meaning behind current world events! Why do not the world's leaders see what is coming? Why are the world's best minds unseeing - the heads of state, scientists, educators, editors, news analysts, bankers, industrialists, leaders in business and commerce? They are totally unaware!
Because there is the great God who says: "The Eternal wrecks the purposes of pagans, he brings to nothing what the nations plan; but the Eternal's purpose stands for ever, and what he plans will last from age to age. . . The Eternal looks from heaven, beholding all mankind; from where he sits, he scans all who inhabit the world; he who alone made their minds, he notes all they do" (Ps. 33:10-15, Moffatt translation).
And now, in other prophecies, the same supreme God has foretold precisely what is going to happen to the United States, the British nations, Western Europe, the Middle East, Russia!
Mystery of Israel
DID IT EVER STRIKE you as most unusual that the Great God should have raised up the ancient nation Israel to be His chosen people.
Consider these seemingly paradoxical facts:
God says He is not a respecter of persons. Is He, then, a respecter of nations. Does He have a favorite.
Did you ever realize that God denied His chosen people salvation--save only their prophets. That the chosen nation was given only material and national promises--that God's Holy Spirit was inaccessible to them.
Did it ever occur to you that the Holy Bible is the book of and concerning only that one people Israel. And that other nations are mentioned only if and as they came into contact with Israel.
And here's another shocker almost totally unrealized today by Christianity even by Judaism and not recorded or understood by historians! The northern kingdom of Israel was not Jewish! The first place in the Bible where the word Jews occurs is in II Kings chapter 16 and verse 6, where the nation Israel was at war, in an alliance with Syria, against the Jews!
The truly amazing truth about Israel is a mystery totally unknown by any religion, by Christianity, by even Judaism!
It is indeed true that the nation Israel was God's chosen people. But understand:
They were not chosen as "teacher's pet" nor for special favors. They were chosen for a special PURPOSE preparatory to the ultimate establishment of the kingdom of God!
It is an intriguing story! The answer to this chapter title, "Mystery of Israel," has great significance in God's PURPOSE for all peoples! One cannot understand the real purpose and incredible potential of man without this vital knowledge.
